Making the decision to get braces for your child can be especially difficult.you may be concerned about whether your child really needs them,if they are ready for braces,and how to afford them.hopefully this will shed some light on your concerns.

AT WHAT AGE YOU HAVE TO MEET YOUR DENTIST?

Normally  child should visit dentist at the age of 6 months or 1 year.
kids should see an orthodontist once their permanent teeth starts erupting,around age 6.orthodontist will be able to find problems and decide the best time to start treatment.

WHY GET BRACES FOR YOUR CHILD?

There are several reasons why your child may need braces

The best age varies from person to person
Orthodontic treatment most commonly begins between ages 9 and 14, because kids in this age range have at least some permanent teeth and are still growing.

Patient is advised to take x-rays like OPG (orthopantomogram) and lateral cephalogram






WILL DENTIST EXTRACT TEETH FOR BRACES TREATMENT?
If the child is having enough space to align teeth ,then extraction of teeth is not required.
If the child is not having enough space to align teeth ,then extraction of teeth is required.
Orthodontist decides whether the child comes under extraction or non extraction treatment by clinical examination and with x rays.

ALONG WITH BRACES CERTAIN ORTHODONTIC TREATMENTS ARE UNDERTAKEN SIMULTANEOUSLY
