FLOSS,BRUSH,RINSE AND SMILE

About half of the women have enlarged, red, tender gums that bleed when flossed or brushed.

This gum inflammation is PREGNANCY GINGIVITIS (mild form of gum disease)

Due to hormonal changes that increase the blood flow to the gums , make the gums more sensitive to the bacteria in the deposits.

PRE-PREGNANCY DENTAL HEALTH
              - Brush the teeth twice daily with fluoridated toothpaste
              -Floss  between your teeth
              -Visit your dentist regularly

One of our patients having the complaint of gingival enlargement while planning for pregnancy,we advised her REMOVAL OF ENLARGED GINGIVAL TISSUES USING LASER.

GUMS ARE ENLARGED DUE TO INCREASE IN HORMONAL LEVEL DURING PRE- PREGNANCY

ENLARGED GUMS COVERS HALF OF THE TOOTH SURFACE AND ITS FORMS LIKE A POCKET AROUND THE TOOTH SURFACE

Hormonal changes also affects the normal body response to bacteria which can cause gum infection.
This makes it easier for the plaque to build up on the teeth and more susceptible to infections.

ENLARGED TISSUES ARE REMOVED USING LASER

ENLARGED GUMS REMOVED TILL THE CROWN LEVEL OF THE TOOTH

Dental care before getting pregnant is a must, to avoid gum infection. With a good oral hygiene and routine professional cleaning, there should be nothing for you to worry about.
